LANCASTER, PA – Tyler Gonzalez-Inthiphan, a 23-year-old resident of E. Liberty St., was sentenced to 18 to 40 years in prison on Tuesday.

He pled guilty to charges including criminal homicide, conspiracy to commit criminal homicide, and attempted criminal homicide.

The sentencing, conducted by Lancaster County Judge Jeffrey Wright, came after a negotiated plea. First Assistant District Attorney Todd Brown provided insight into the events leading to the charges.

On March 19, 2020, around 1:18 a.m., following a disputed marijuana transaction at the Motor Lodge on Route 340, Gonzalez-Inthiphan, along with co-defendant Joshua Luciano, fired shots from a blue Acura MDX.

The gunfire resulted in the death of 21-year-old Alexander Rivera due to a gunshot wound to the head, while another 25-year-old victim suffered an abdominal gunshot injury. Luciano, deemed to have fired the fatal shot, was found guilty of criminal homicide in December 2022 and received a life sentence without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 67 years.
