PARAMUS, NJ – Joseph Viso, a Republican candidate for State Assembly in the 36th district, has acknowledged a 2009 incident in which he smeared feces on the doors and locks of Children’s Studio in Paramus. Viso admitted to the New Jersey Globe that he was the same individual who pleaded guilty to criminal mischief charges related to the event.

At the time, Viso was in a dispute with the daycare’s owner. The facility was situated next to Viso’s former electrical company, Viso Electric. Viso, now 52, claimed the daycare “harassed my men every day” by having their cars ticketed when parked on a side street.

After the feces incident, authorities informed Viso that he was captured on camera, to which he responded, “I am not proud of what I did.”

Viso Jr., an electrician and Republican candidate for the State Assembly in the 36th District, has admitted to smearing feces on the doors of a daycare center, attributing the act to former President Barack Obama.

As reported by the New Jersey Globe, Viso has a criminal record that includes federal and state convictions related to drug and gun offenses, as well as financial challenges.
