SALISBURY, MD – A Salisbury woman’s penchant for the number seven led to a fortunate twist for her and a friend. The duo struck gold, winning a whopping $50,000 prize, after purchasing the $5 Hot 7s Tripler scratch-off tickets.

During their visit to Country Farm in Salisbury, the pair, enticed by the game’s title featuring the lucky number, decided to buy six tickets. Their surprise was palpable when they scratched off a top-prize win right in the store. Doubting her eyes, the 51-year-old winner mused, “Probably I am blind and I’m wrong!” However, their win was very much real.

The overjoyed pair, who later claimed their prize together in Baltimore, work in diverse fields – the woman in a tax services office and her friend in agriculture. They’ve decided to split the prize. With her share, the woman is looking forward to some quality time with her daughter and grandchild. Her friend, on the other hand, sees an investment opportunity in his half of the prize.

Country Farm, situated at 821 Priscilla Street in Salisbury, isn’t left behind in this wave of fortune either. For selling the winning scratch-off, the store is set to receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery.

The Hot 7s Tripler game, which debuted in May, still holds plenty of prizes for prospective players. There are three remaining $50,000 top prizes, six $5,000 prizes, and a range of other prizes from $5 to $1,000. This game is part of a series that includes the $1 Hot 7s, $2 Hot 7s Doubler, $3 Red Hot Cash, $10 Hot 7s Multiplier, and the $20 Hot 777 game that was released in April.
