Early Morning Shooting in Albany Under Investigation

ALBANY, N.Y. – A shooting that took place in the early hours of Saturday, on Providence Place is currently under investigation by the Albany Police Department.

Responding to reports of a shooting around 2:45 a.m., officers found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his torso.

The man was treated at the scene and subsequently transported to Albany Medical Center, where he is reported to be in stable condition.


Preliminary findings suggest that the victim and suspect were acquainted, and police believe the shooting to be an isolated incident.
