Man Arrested with Loaded Gun Inside Pittsburgh International Airport

PITTSBURGH, PA – County Police have arrested a Uniontown man, Domonique Hickenbottom, 29, after discovering an illegal firearm at the Pittsburgh International Airport’s main security checkpoint. On October 10, at 6:32 pm,

Transportation Security Administration officers identified a loaded Springfield 9mm handgun inside a passenger’s carry-on bag and promptly notified the Allegheny County Police.

Following their investigation, authorities established that Hickenbottom lacked a valid concealed carry permit and was forbidden from owning a firearm as per Pennsylvania regulations.


He has been detained and faces felony charges for unauthorized firearm possession and carrying without a license.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been informed. Individuals bringing firearms to airport security may incur federal civil penalties by the Transportation Security Administration, with fines potentially reaching $10,000. For repeated violations, the fines can escalate to $13,910.
