Off-Duty Officer Involved in Kettering Shooting Incident

KETTERING, OH — On Sunday, an off-duty officer was involved in a shooting incident following an aggravated robbery at Meijer on Wilmington Pike.

Kettering Police Lieutenant Craig Moore confirmed that officers were dispatched to the scene in response to the robbery.

The subsequent events led to an officer-involved shooting, the details of which are currently under investigation.

In an initial report, Kettering Police Dispatch verified that police and medics were dispatched to Tangent Drive after an armed robbery suspect was “injured.”

The nature and severity of the suspect’s injuries remain undisclosed.
