Woman Arrested After Physical Domestic Incident

KENNETT SQUARE, PA – On Friday, at 5:54 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of S. Union Street, Kennett Square Borough, following reports of a physical domestic dispute in progress.

Elizabeth Kauffman was identified as the aggressor in the incident, which took place on the public sidewalk.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with Kauffman and the male victim, both of whom matched descriptions provided by dispatch.


Kauffman openly admitted to being the aggressor during the altercation, asserting that the male individual did not retaliate. The victim confirmed he was struck in the face, a statement corroborated by multiple on-scene witnesses.

Kauffman was taken into custody and has been charged with Simple Assault, Harassment, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Drunkenness. She was transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison, and the case is pending a preliminary hearing.
