Shooting in D.C. Sends Woman to Hospital

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A shooting in Southeast Washington, D.C., led to a woman being rushed to a hospital on Thursday.

Police received a call at 5:45 p.m. about a shooting near 33rd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found the woman with a gunshot wound in the 4300 block of Gorman Terrace. Though she was discovered there, authorities believe the shooting took place at 33rd and Pennsylvania Avenue in Southeast D.C.

The woman was conscious and breathing when transported to an area hospital, but her current condition is not yet known.
