Man Shot in Pittsburgh’s South Side Entertainment District

PITTSBURGH, PA – Early Sunday morning, officers from the Pittsburgh Police Department reported a shooting in the city’s South Side.

While patrolling the South Side Entertainment District, officers heard several gunshots emanating from the intersection of E. Carson Street and S. 17th Street around 2:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, a man, approximately in his early 30s, was found with a gunshot wound to the chest.


The injured individual was conscious, communicating with officers before medical personnel transported him to a nearby hospital, where he is now in serious but stable condition.

Pittsburgh Police confirmed the discovery of the crime scene in the vicinity. The Mobile Crime Unit is currently processing evidence from the location.
