Laundromat Purse Snatcher Sought in Akron

AKRON, OH – The Akron Police Department (APD) is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a theft incident.

On Sunday, October 8, the suspect allegedly stole a victim’s purse at a laundromat located at 970 N. Main St.

Post-theft, the suspect was seen entering the bathroom, removing the victim’s debit and laundromat card, and discarding the purse in a trash bin upon exit.

Those with information about this crime are asked to contact Akron Police Detective Sgt. M. Joyner at the provided contact numbers.

If anyone spots the suspect, they are advised not to approach and to immediately call 911.
