BOSTON – Transit Police officers arrested a man and woman who were found engaged in sexual relations inside an elevator at a State Street station, according to authorities.

Officers on the scene determined that both individuals had several outstanding warrants issued by Boston Municipal Court (BMC). The charges include assault with a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering, and assault on a police officer.

“Officers encountered the duo and determined there were several warrants for both issued by BMC to include Assaults w/Dangerous Weapon, B&E, and Assault on Police Officer,” said a transit authority spokesperson.

Both individuals were subsequently arrested on the basis of the existing warrants.
