Pittsburgh Police Announce Arrests in Westinghouse Academy Shooting Incident

PITTSBURGH, PA – On October 19, officials from the Pittsburgh Police disclosed the apprehension of two individuals connected to the February 14, 2023 shooting event outside Westinghouse Academy that left four individuals injured.

James Pritchard, a 17-year-old, is confronting multiple charges encompassing aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, criminal conspiracy, and minor possession of a firearm. Under Act 33, Pritchard is being charged as an adult.

In addition, a 14-year-old male was arrested, facing charges akin to Pritchard’s as a juvenile.
