Galloway Township Police Report: A Busy Week With Numerous Arrests and Incidents

GALLOWAY, NJ – The Galloway Township Police Department released its weekly log for the period between October 8 and 14, 2023, showing a bustling seven days with a total of 807 calls for service.

The report highlighted a range of incidents including 16 domestic violence cases, a burglary at 200 E. White Horse Pike, 23 motor vehicle accidents, and 154 motor vehicle summonses issued. Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) cases were not in short supply with a total of four instances recorded over the week.

A notable arrest was that of 57-year-old Gail M. Swayze of Galloway, who was apprehended by Officer Brent Grunow on October 14 and charged with Assault on a Police Officer and Falsely Calling 911.


Other significant arrests included individuals charged with DWI, Burglary, Criminal Mischief, Theft, and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, reflecting a wide range of criminal activities the department had to respond to.

In addition to addressing criminal incidents, the police department also responded to 167 Emergency Medical Service calls and collaborated with local volunteer fire companies on various calls.
