Three Philadelphia Men Arrested After Cops Find Guns During Traffic Stop

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of three Philadelphia men for weapons offenses following a narcotics investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

On October 19, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force conducted a traffic stop in Bergen County, NJ. The passenger, Victor M. Garcia-Morla, was found to have a concealed, loaded handgun in his waistband. A search of the vehicle revealed a second loaded handgun with hollow-nose bullets.

Chelvin M. Castillo-Paula and Anthony L. Medina-Suarez were arrested and charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and fourth-degree prohibited weapons. Victor Garcia-Morla faces two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and fourth-degree prohibited weapons. All three were remanded to Bergen County Jail and await their first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

The investigation was conducted under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and the suspects are currently in custody. Authorities are continuing their investigation.
