COLUMBUS, OH – Victoria Barrientos, a 27-year-old convicted money launderer, received a 100-year prison sentence for her involvement in a drug-dealing conspiracy in Ohio, according to the Muskingum County Prosecutors Office.

Barrientos pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, money laundering, attempted money laundering, corrupting another with drugs, and trafficking drugs.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the lengthy sentence aims to serve as a cautionary tale for those involved in illicit activities, emphasizing the judiciary’s willingness to impose severe sentences for such offenses.

Assistant Prosecutor John Litle emphasized the importance of harsh sentences for drug traffickers, stating, “The century of prison handed out to this operation stands as a reminder that the courts in this county will always impose those serious sentences.”

Two years prior, Barrientos was convicted of money laundering and permitting drug abuse. These convictions were part of a larger operation led by her boyfriend, Deangelo “D-Lo” Tellis, who is currently serving a 15 to 19-and-a-half-year prison sentence.

Following an 18-month imprisonment, Barrientos was released early to a halfway house. However, she returned to drug-dealing activities shortly after her release, selling fentanyl during a phone conversation with her boyfriend.

Her arrest occurred during a traffic stop on her way to Zanesville, where she intended to regain custody of one of her children. Authorities found $30,000 worth of suboxone, a substance commonly used for treating opioid addiction, hidden in a baby wipe dispenser in a bag on her children.
