Double Shooting Near Riverside Academy in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, OH – Early Wednesday, a double shooting occurred near Riverside Academy, leaving one person dead and another critically injured.

According to initial emergency communication reports, the incident unfolded when a man dialed 911 just before 8 a.m., reporting that he and his wife were shot in a vehicle at 3280 River Road, the address associated with Riverside Academy.

Following the shooting, the vehicle crashed into the woods off River Road, requiring one person to be extricated by Cincinnati firefighters.


Both victims, a 33-year-old woman and a man, were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The woman was pronounced dead upon arrival, while the man is currently being treated for severe injuries. Lt. Jonathan Cunningham confirmed that a child who was in the vehicle remained physically unharmed.

The investigation is ongoing with no arrests made so far. Riverside Academy Superintendent Jamie Brady mentioned that the school was put on lockdown as a safety measure, which was lifted by the police approximately 20 minutes later.
