ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. – A student at Southeast Alamance High School in Alamance County was found in possession of a gun, leading to action by school officials.

Reports from the Alamance-Burlington School System indicate that the gun, loaded with two bullets in the magazine, was seized after receiving a tip.

The situation did not escalate to a lockdown as the weapon was confiscated within minutes.

No one was harmed, and the school environment remains safe.

The school system reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy regarding weapons on campus, and the student involved will face disciplinary actions in line with this policy.
