HARRISBURG, PA – A worrying rise in violence was highlighted on Sunday afternoon when three juveniles were shot around 18th and Regina streets.

Officers reported gunshots just before 3:30 p.m., and detectives subsequently cordoned off several blocks near the incident location.

The three victims, aged 13, 11, and 3, were found at different locations around the mentioned streets. The 11-year-old is currently undergoing emergency treatment, while the other two are expected to fully recover from their injuries.

Earlier that day, around 1 p.m., officers had responded to a gunfire report in the same vicinity, though no one was injured in that incident. It remains unclear whether the two events are connected.

Local residents have expressed growing concerns over the frequent and unpredictable gunfire in the area. The rise in local violence has alarmed many, leading them to take personal safety measures. Harrisburg Police Captain Atah Akakpo-Martin also confirmed a separate shooting incident that took place in the neighborhood early Saturday.
