Camden Triumphs Over Holmdel, Advances to Central Jersey Group 3 Final

CAMDEN, NJ – Displaying robust defense and seizing timely opportunities, Camden High School secured a victory over Holmdel in the NJSIAA Tournament, Semifinal Round, Central Jersey, Group 3. With a final score of 21-7 on Friday night, Camden now advances to the Central Jersey Group 3 final, bearing a season record of 9-1.

The defensive strategies shined as the game witnessed a scoreless stalemate until the fourth quarter. The deadlock was finally broken by Holmdel’s Jack Cannon, who dashed through Camden’s defense for an 18-yard touchdown run, with Connor Mendini adding the extra point to lead 7-0.

However, Camden retaliated swiftly, racking up 21 unanswered points. The scoring details for Camden were not provided, but their ability to shift gears and amass points in a crucial phase of the game was a testament to their big-play ability which has been a hallmark throughout the season.
