NEW YORK, NY – The Lawfare Project, an organization committed to legal advocacy for the Jewish community, has announced the establishment of a Legal War Room to combat antisemitism through strategic litigation. This initiative is part of a broader Solidarity Campaign engaging a vast network of legal professionals in a concerted effort to defend Jewish civil rights worldwide.

In an era marked by increased antisemitic incidents, The Lawfare Project’s Legal War Room serves as a nexus for over 600 lawyers and numerous law firms, coordinating efforts with campus groups and activists within the #EndJewHatred movement. Spearheaded by The Lawfare Project’s seasoned attorneys, the initiative seeks to leverage legal expertise to effectuate change and challenge acts of Jew-hatred.

Brooke Goldstein, Founder and Executive Director of The Lawfare Project, underscored the initiative’s critical role in countering antisemitism. Goldstein emphasized the necessity of unified action to establish legal precedents that address and penalize antisemitism with the same severity as other forms of racism and bigotry.

The call to action intensified following October 7 events, when Hamas launched attacks against Israeli civilians, spurring global outrage and a spate of antisemitic violence. These events have particularly resonated on college campuses, demanding a strong legal response to protect Jewish students and faculty facing discrimination and hostility.

The Legal War Room is not only reactive but also proactive, providing support and counsel to those experiencing antisemitism in academic settings and beyond. The Lawfare Project attorneys, responding to a high volume of calls for assistance, are evaluating and preparing legal actions on behalf of affected individuals.

With a track record of impactful civil rights litigation, The Lawfare Project’s initiative is poised to address antisemitic incidents across the United States. The aim is to enact systemic change through the courts, affirming that antisemitism is intolerable in a society founded on principles of justice and equality.
