New York City Public Defender Accused of Taking Down Flyers of Abducted Jewish Children

NEW YORK, NY – Hundreds of people remain in the captivity of the terrorist organization Hamas in Israel after an October 6th terrorist attack killed over 1,500 people, including women and children.

Flyers posted around New York City showing the names and faces of those missing, including the women and children, have been posted across the city for awareness.

This week, StopAntisemitism allegedly videotaped New York County Defender Services trial attorney Victoria Ruiz taking down those posters.


After the video went viral, calls for her termination were made by the public, even some saying her past casework should be reviewed for bias in light of the recent allegation.

“Any Jewish person this woman has ever represented should have their case reviewed for ineffective assistance of counsel. Any Jewish person she currently represents should be immediately reassigned to a different attorney,” One commenter said.

“That’s actually one of the qualifying requirements for NYC public defenders. You have to be a socialist piece of garbage in order to work for the city,” one commenter responded in jest.

Ruiz did not comment on the matter. The New York County Defenders Office, which began in 1997 provides legal services for criminal defendants in New York City.
