TROUTMAN, NC – A fatal shooting on Saturday evening is under Troutman Police Department’s active investigation, with assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
At around 8:25 p.m., officers were called to North Main Street, where two gunshot victims were found, one deceased and the other severely injured.
Initial statements from one victim led officers to the shooting location on Mills Avenue.
The surviving victim was promptly transported to a trauma center, while the other was pronounced dead at the scene.
Victim identities are withheld pending family notification. The department encourages anyone with pertinent information to step forward.
