TOMS RIVER, NJ – In a tribute to military service members, Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar will offer free entrees to veterans and active-duty military across its U.S. locations on November 11. The initiative, marking its 16th year, recognizes the contributions of the nation’s armed forces by providing them a complimentary meal from a select menu.

With over 20 locations in New Jersey, Applebee’s is never more than a few miles away.

Since the inception of this tradition, Applebee’s has provided over 11.3 million free meals to service members on Veterans Day. The 2023 exclusive menu for veterans and active-duty military personnel includes seven entrees such as a 6 oz. Top Sirloin, Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, and a Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, among others.

Tony Moralejo, President of Applebee’s, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for the event, highlighting the sense of unity it brings to communities. “The energy and camaraderie on Veterans Day create a unique atmosphere of gratitude and neighborhood spirit in our restaurants,” said Moralejo.

In addition to the free meal, service members will receive a $5 Bounce Back Card to use within three weeks for dine-in, To Go, or delivery orders.

Service members are required to show proof of service to enjoy the Veterans Day offer, which is available at over 1,500 participating Applebee’s locations. The restaurant chain advises calling local establishments for specific hours of operation.

Proof of service for the complimentary meal includes any of the following: U.S. Uniformed Services ID Card, Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans’ organization card, uniform photograph, or DD214 form. The offer is limited to one meal per service member and does not include beverages or gratuity.
