Virginia Beach Police Seek in Solving 2022 Homicide Case

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) has issued a public appeal for assistance regarding the unsolved homicide of Gabriel Martinez, a 24-year-old active-duty Navy servicemember. Martinez was found murdered on December 3, 2022, in the 5800 block of Pickering Street after attending a work Christmas party and last seen leaving Omega Bar.

Despite exhaustive efforts, detectives face a standstill as leads have diminished. The VBPD is now seeking information from the community to aid in the investigation. The department emphasizes the importance of any information that could lead to a resolution for Martinez’s family and the apprehension of those responsible.
