DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA – The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office announced no charges will be filed regarding the suicide of an 83-year-old woman who was under hospice care for terminal cancer.

The woman passed away on the evening of October 10, but was found the following morning by Doylestown Township Police.

The investigation conducted revealed her extensive research into doctor-assisted suicide options, consistent with her intent to end her life in the face of a rapidly declining health condition. Her husband, aware of her wishes, discovered her in a non-responsive state in their vehicle.

The medical examiner confirmed that any level of carbon monoxide would have been fatal due to her fragile health.
