Non-Binary Drunk Driver Hassles Officers During DUI Arrest

A motorist was detained after driving in the wrong direction on a city street, police reported by releasing body camera footage.

The incident escalated when police detected the presence of alcohol during a traffic stop. The individual, who identified as non-binary and of indigenous descent, underwent a roadside sobriety test.

When asked to watch the officer’s finger, ‘Chai Perry” said the officer was trying to intimidate them.

They then claimed they suffer from PTSD from being around ‘white people’, telling the officer to stop ‘being a white man’.

During the test, the motorist expressed distress, citing discomfort with white male officers and stating that they suffer from mental health issues and PTSD. Tensions heightened when the individual reported being triggered by an officer’s use of the term “ma’am.”

The police reported the situation was handled according to standard protocols while ensuring the individual’s concerns were acknowledged. Further investigation is underway to determine the appropriate proceedings.
