NEW YORK, NY – In an update regarding an anti-Semitic incident in Manhattan’s Upper West Side, journalist Andy Ngô has allegedly identified the two individuals involved in covering up photos of Israeli hostages held by Hamas terrorists in Israel.

The incident, which occurred on Nov. 9 near 68th St. and Riverside Blvd., involved the suspects Kurush Mistry and Shailja Gupta, both Indian nationals, harassing a Jewish man. They were also seen covering up photos of civilians kidnapped by Hamas with signs reading “OCCUPIERS FACE CONSEQUENCES.”

The suspects reportedly told the Jewish man filming to “go back to [his] country,” with Shailja Gupta claiming to come from Palestine.

The video of the incident, showing these actions, was shared widely, sparking discussions about anti-Semitism and hate speech in the city. The NYPD has not yet released a statement regarding any charges or further action.

The couple did not release a comment on the incident.
