NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a man connected to an attempted robbery at a Chase Bank in Greenwich Village.
The incident occurred on Monday, at around 3:45 pm at the bank located at 340 Avenue of the Americas.
An unidentified male entered the bank and handed two notes to a teller demanding cash. When the teller did not comply, the individual fled the scene on foot and was last spotted entering the train station at West Third Street and Avenue of the Americas.
There were no injuries reported during the attempted robbery.
The suspect is described as a light-complexioned male, around 50 to 60 years old, with a medium build, and standing about 5 feet, 6 inches tall. The Police Department’s Robbery Squad is handling the investigation, and anyone with information is asked to come forward.
