Amish Buggy Driver Cited After 'High Speed' Crash on Old Philadelphia Pike

LEACOCK TOWNSHIP, PA — A two-vehicle crash involving a horse and buggy and a 2014 Honda CRV occurred at the intersection of Old Philadelphia Pike and North Ronks Road around 12:38 p.m. on October 27, as per a Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) release.

The investigation by the troopers indicated that the driver of the horse and buggy was responsible for the collision. The driver reportedly failed to maintain control of the horse and attempted to overtake the Honda CRV from the right at an excessive speed. The Honda was stationary at a traffic light when the horse and buggy struck it.

The Amish buggy driver received a citation for not driving at a safe speed. No injuries were reported in the incident, and the names of the involved parties were withheld.
