I-95 Collision Involves Chester Police Vehicles, Multiple Injuries Reported

CHESTER, PA – A traffic incident escalated dramatically early this morning on I-95 near Kerlin Street, resulting in multiple police vehicles catching fire following a collision.

At approximately 3 a.m., Chester police officers conducting a traffic stop on the southbound side of I-95 were struck by a passing vehicle. The impact caused several of the police vehicles to burst into flames.

Three officers were reported to be outside their vehicles at the time of the crash. Additionally, two civilians, who were inside their vehicle during the incident, were transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The extent of their injuries remains undisclosed.
