NEW YORK, NY – The former governor of New York has advocated for the deployment of the National Guard to Jewish centers and places of worship. This call to action aims to send a definitive message that hate is unacceptable in New York. The former governor emphasized the need for a unified voice against anti-Semitism, stating,

“You target a Jew, you target me too,” and stressed that those propagating hate will face full accountability.

The proposal highlights the growing concern over the safety of Jewish communities in the state.

“It’s time to deploy the National Guard to Jewish centers & places of worship & send a clear message: Hate has no place in NY & anyone who trafficks in it will be held responsible to the fullest extent. We need to speak with one voice & say ‘You target a Jew, you target me too,” Cuomo tweeted.

Jewish New Yorkers have been the victims of anti-semitism since the October 6 terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas militants that killed over 1,000 Jewish women, children and babies.
