WASHINGTON, D.C. – Secret Service agents, tasked with protecting President Joe Biden’s granddaughter Naomi Biden, fired shots after an attempted break-in of an unmarked Secret Service vehicle. The incident occurred in Georgetown, Washington, late Sunday night, a law enforcement official reported to The Associated Press.

The agents fired multiple shots and missed their targets on each of them.

While on duty with Naomi Biden, the agents noticed three individuals attempting to break a window of the parked and unoccupied SUV. The official, who spoke anonymously due to the ongoing investigation, disclosed these details on Monday.

The Secret Service confirmed that one agent discharged their firearm during the incident. However, there were no injuries reported as a result of the gunfire.

The suspects, who fled the scene in a red car, remain at large. In response, the Secret Service issued a regional bulletin to the Metropolitan Police Department, alerting them to be on the lookout for the vehicle involved in the attempted break-in.
