Matthew Perry Remembered by ‘Friends’ Co-Star Matt LeBlanc

LOS ANGELES, CA — Matthew Perry, known for his role as Chandler Bing on the popular TV show “Friends,” was recently commemorated by co-star Matt LeBlanc on social media. LeBlanc’s tribute marked the first among the show’s cast, reflecting the deep bond they shared, akin to a brotherly relationship.

“Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among my favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you, and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly, brother you’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me,” LeBlanc posted on X.

Matthew Perry died on October 28th. He was 54 years old. He was found dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home. The cause of death is unknown.


LeBlanc, who portrayed Joey Tribbiani on “Friends,” posted a heartfelt memoriam to Perry, indicating the close ties that extended beyond their on-screen chemistry. Their relationship, developed over the decade-long run of the sitcom, evolved into a strong, off-screen friendship.
