TOMS RIVER, NJ – A massive interstate FBI investigation into the Gambino crime family was triggered after a Toms River couple, owner of Foxy’s Bar and Grill, were assaulted outside their restaurant by alleged mob associates in September.

This week, the FBI was at a farm in New York with an excavator searching for bodies and evidence related to the larger investigation into the matter.

Sources have revealed that law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and NYPD, are conducting extensive searches at two upstate New York farms. The operations on Tuesday and Wednesday are part of an investigation into the Gambino crime family.

The searches are directly linked to ongoing inquiries into the activities of the notorious Gambino crime family. Reports from local news outlets suggest that law enforcement is using heavy machinery, including a backhoe, at one of the farms, indicating a significant level of investigation.

A key focus of the search appears to be uncovering potential burial sites on the properties. A law enforcement source informed the New York Post that they are looking for bodies that might have been buried on the farms.

Residents in the area have noted suspicious activities around the properties. Mary Nally, a resident, told WCBS-TV about unusual gatherings at odd hours and strange occurrences around the barns, including bright lights and noises at night.

This search comes after recent legal actions against members of the Gambino family. Last week, ten individuals connected to the family were charged in Brooklyn Federal Court. The charges include racketeering conspiracy, violent extortions, assaults, arson, and union-related offenses. Some of the defendants, bearing nicknames like “Joe Brooklyn,” “Vinny Slick,” and “Uncle Ciccio,” were identified in a statement by the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.

One of the farms being searched has been linked to Salvatore DiLorenzo, an alleged mobster among those indicted. This information was reported by News 12, highlighting the significant depth of the investigation.

As of Wednesday, no remains have been found on the properties. However, the search is expected to continue through Thursday.
