ATLANTIC CITY — The Atlantic City Police Department (ACPD), in collaboration with the Liberty Mid-Atlantic DEA Atlantic County HIDTA Task Force, announced the arrest of Altyriek Warren, 34, of Atlantic City, following a cooperative drug investigation. This operation also led to the seizure of firearms and drugs.

On November 15, 2023, detectives from the Special Investigations Section and the HIDTA Task Force executed a court-authorized search warrant at a residence in the first block of South Bellevue Avenue, with assistance from the ACPD SWAT Team.

The search concluded a month-long investigation into the illegal distribution of narcotics, spurred by multiple complaints from residents and businesses about narcotics possession and distribution adversely affecting the area.

Warren, the focus of the investigation, was apprehended at the scene. Detectives discovered two loaded handguns, substantial quantities of cocaine and heroin, and drug distribution paraphernalia during the search. Additionally, Warren had an active arrest warrant.

Detective Will Herrerias of the ACPD, currently assigned to the HIDTA Task Force, spearheaded the case.

Warren faces multiple charges, including two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, two counts of certain persons not to possess a weapon, possession of a weapon during a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) offense, two counts each of possession of CDS, intent to distribute CDS, and intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
