New York Smoke Shop Robbery Ends in Shooting

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a non-fatal shooting. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning, at a smoke shop located at 1740 Lafayette Avenue.

At approximately 2:00 AM, a 22-year-old male customer was confronted by two unidentified males inside the shop. The confrontation escalated when the suspects discharged firearms, injuring the victim with a gunshot wound to the left leg.

Emergency services transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was reported in stable condition.


Following the incident, the suspects fled the scene on foot, heading towards Seward Avenue via Rosedale Avenue. The police have released media of the suspects, accessible at the Department of Criminal Public Information (DCPI).
