CLEVELAND, OH – A 25-year-old man was fatally shot on a sidewalk near St. Francis Catholic School in Cleveland on Thursday.
Cleveland Police Department responded to the incident at 8:44 a.m. on the 1200 block of East 71st Street. The site of the shooting is close to St. Francis Catholic School, located at 7206 Myron Ave.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim with gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. As of now, the identity of the victim has not been disclosed.
Cleveland Police have apprehended a 40-year-old male suspect in connection with the shooting.
The Homicide Unit of the Cleveland Police Department is actively investigating this case to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
