PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — In a significant law enforcement operation, Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies captured a fugitive wanted on multiple charges, including child sexual assault, who had been evading capture for over a month.

Sean Christopher Williams, 52, was wanted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for several serious offenses, including Rape of a Child, Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and Aggravated Sexual Battery. Williams had escaped custody in October while being transported from Kentucky to Tennessee.

The breakthrough in the manhunt came on a Tuesday evening in Largo, Florida. Deputies, acting on a tip-off, located Williams at a local 7-11 store. A K-9 unit was deployed to track Williams, leading to his successful apprehension.

This arrest marks the end of a prolonged search for Williams and underscores the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies across state lines. The apprehension of Williams provides a crucial step towards justice for the alleged crimes and demonstrates the persistence of law enforcement in pursuing fugitives.
