New Jersey Gas Station Notorious for High Prices Selling at $5 Per Gallon During Thanksgiving

WHIPPANY, NJ – A Lukoil gas station on Route 10 East near the I-287 ramp has drawn significant criticism for its exorbitant gasoline prices. This week, the station’s pricing practices have escalated concerns about potential price gouging.

The station, already notorious for high prices, is currently charging $5.09 per gallon for regular gasoline, which is nearly $2 higher than neighboring stations. Earlier, the price for super gasoline at this location exceeded $7 per gallon, further fueling customer outrage.

Local drivers have expressed their frustration, labeling this Lukoil outlet as one of the most expensive in New Jersey. The situation has caught the attention of community members as the price disparity with other area gas stations becomes increasingly pronounced.

Ahead of Thanksgiving, prices once again surged, even as prices statewide per gallon have come down in recent weeks.

“Beware of this place before they pump because they are PRICE GAUGERS! Was running low on fuel on Rt 10 heading to 287. This was only station around. Placed looked closed, no cars but we pulled up to the pump. Price per gallon was $3.59 when every other station’s price was between $2.05-2.20. I asked if that was the correct price and he told me to go somewhere else. Nasty SOB, no wonder the place was empty,” wrote Mike M. from Wayne, NJ.

We tried to call the owner of the business, but the number listed on Google was no longer in service.
