Bronx Store Dollar Store Employee Thwarts Theft, Suffers Minor Injuries

BRONX, NY – On November 3, a theft attempt at a Family Dollar on 415 Sound View Avenue turned into a physical confrontation, resulting in minor injuries for an employee.

At around 11:00 AM, a man attempted to steal merchandise. When confronted by a 40-year-old male employee, the situation escalated into an altercation.

The employee successfully retrieved the items, but sustained minor injuries and declined medical care.


The suspect, a slim man with a medium complexion and facial hair, fled on foot. He wore a blue plaid jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and gray sneakers. Authorities are seeking information on his whereabouts.
