EL PASO, TX – Casey Garcia, who disguised herself as her 13-year-old daughter and attended classes at San Elizario Middle School, was convicted this week. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Garcia’s guilty verdict, resulting in a sentence of 6 months probation, 100 hours of community service, and a $700 probated fine.

The 2021 incident, which Garcia shared on social media, involved her posing as a middle school student to highlight security lapses at the school. Detectives from the Peter John Herrera Patrol Station, responding to a criminal trespass report, identified Garcia from the school administration’s information.

Garcia, 30 at the time, documented her experience on TikTok, showcasing her entry and time spent at the school. She wore a yellow Marvel hoodie, glasses, and a face mask, effectively concealing her identity. Her disguise and the ease of her entry into the school prompted serious concerns about campus security.

The case has garnered attention for its unusual nature and the broader implications for school security. Garcia’s actions and subsequent conviction underline the challenges schools face in ensuring the safety and integrity of their environments.
