Man Arrested for Multiple Armed Robberies in Washington, DC

WASHINGTON, DC — The Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District has announced the arrest of a man linked to a series of armed robberies in Washington, DC.

Darryl Love, 62, of Northwest, DC, faces charges for his alleged involvement in these incidents.

The first reported robbery took place on November 10 at around 7:28 p.m. in the 5200 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. According to the police report, Love approached a victim, brandished a handgun, and took their property. He then fled the scene.


A subsequent robbery occurred on November 23 at 11:43 p.m. in the 5400 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. In this instance, Love allegedly approached another victim with a handgun and demanded their property. The victim did not comply, and Love was apprehended by police units responding to the scene.

Following these events, Love was arrested and charged with two counts of Armed Robbery. The Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate these incidents and has not released further details.
