NEW JERSEY, NJ – Residents in New Jersey and the Jersey Shore should prepare for a wet start to the week with minor coastal flooding expected through Tuesday. Today, the forecast indicates a possibility of rain post 3 pm. The sky remains cloudy, with temperatures peaking around 52 degrees. Southeast winds will blow at 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation stands at 40%, with new precipitation measuring less than a tenth of an inch.

Tonight, rain and potential thunderstorms are anticipated before 2 am, followed by chances of rain and thunderstorms between 2 am and 4 am. Temperatures will drop to around 43 degrees. Winds shift from east at 10 to 15 mph to west post-midnight. Rainfall is expected to be between a half and three quarters of an inch, with the likelihood of precipitation at 90%.

Monday brings a shift in weather with mostly sunny skies and a high near 52 degrees. Westerly winds at 10 to 15 mph could reach gusts as high as 25 mph. By Monday night, the sky will clear, and temperatures will drop to around 24 degrees, accompanied by a consistent west wind at 10 to 15 mph.
