Buffalo Man Arraigned on Robbery and Drug Possession Charges

BUFFALO, NY – Hector L. Colon, 47, of Buffalo, was recently arraigned before Cheektowaga Town Court Justice David Stevens on multiple charges.

The Erie County District Attorney’s Office reports that Colon faces one count of Robbery in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, and Petit Larceny. Additionally, he is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

The incident occurred on Saturday, at the Walden Galleria department store. Colon is accused of forcibly stealing fragrance sets valued at $330 and threatening asset protection officers with a pocket knife.


He was apprehended by Cheektowaga Police, who found the stolen items and a glass pipe with suspected crack cocaine residue on him.

Colon is scheduled for a felony hearing on Thursday, at the Cheektowaga Town Court. Bail is set at $15,000. If convicted of the highest charge, he faces up to 25 years in prison.
