Suspect Charged in September Shooting on Madison Avenue

NEW YORK, NY – On Saturday, November 25, authorities arrested 42-year-old Robert Hart at his residence at 2120 Madison Avenue. The arrest, executed within the 24 Precinct, resulted from an investigation into a September shooting incident.

Hart faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, attempted criminally negligent homicide, two counts of assault, gang assault, criminal possession of a loaded firearm, two counts of criminal use of a firearm, and reckless endangerment.

The investigation traces back to an incident on September 19, when two individuals reportedly fired multiple shots near Amsterdam Avenue and West 89 Street. The gunfire injured a 41-year-old man in the shoulder and buttocks. After the shooting, the suspects fled the scene on foot. The victim received medical treatment at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital and was reported in stable condition.
