Police Find $305k in Cash, Kilo of Cocaine at Drug Dealer’s Home

SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. – Nathaniel Howell, 40, from Medford, faces multiple charges, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree.

Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced the indictment following a raid on Howell’s residence at 71 Wilson Avenue in Medford on November 2.

Investigators from the District Attorney’s Fentanyl Task Force discovered over a kilogram of cocaine, a large quantity of fentanyl, and more than $305,000 in cash at Howell’s home.


Howell was arraigned before Supreme Court Justice Richard Ambro on Tuesday, facing one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, one count in the Second Degree, two counts in the Third Degree, and one count of Criminal Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.

Justice Ambro set bail at $1 million cash, $2 million bond, or $8 million partially secured bond. Howell, represented by Ira Weissman, Esq., is due back in court on January 4, 2024, and could face 15 to 30 years in prison if convicted of the top count.
