YONKERS, NY – In a heartwarming conclusion to a burglary investigation, Yonkers Police Detectives successfully rescued a stolen French Bulldog and reunited the pet with its owner. Detective Maher was notably elated with the outcome, as evidenced by her broad smile during the reunion.

The incident began when a Yonkers resident fell victim to a burglary orchestrated by a former friend, resulting in the theft of their French Bulldog. Responding to the scene, Yonkers Police Officers commenced the investigation while also tracking suspects seen fleeing in a U-Haul truck.

Detectives Kayla Maher and Frank McDonald swiftly identified and located the suspects, unraveling the details of the case. They discovered that the victim had been gifted the dog by a friend years earlier. When the victim refused the friend’s recent demand to return the dog, the friend arranged a burglary to steal the pet back.

The police arrested the orchestrator of the heist and two accomplices in the U-Haul. The stolen French Bulldog was found at a residence in the Bronx. Detectives Maher and McDonald facilitated the reunion of the dog with its rightful owner, bringing a joyful resolution to the distressing situation.
