BOSTON, MA – On Saturday, at approximately 7:53 PM, Boston Police officers assigned to patrol South Boston arrested 18-year-old Alajandro Rodriguez of Boston for firearm possession.

The arrest occurred near 941 Massachusetts Avenue; an area marked with a “No Trespassing” sign.

Officers on patrol noticed a group violating the notice and dispersing upon their approach. Rodriguez, who was seen limping away, refused to remove his hands from his pockets when requested by the officers.

After complying, a pat frisk revealed a Glock 22 with ten rounds in the magazine in his waistband. Additionally, five plastic bags believed to contain crack cocaine were recovered.

Rodriguez faces charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, a large capacity feeding device, possession with intent to distribute class B drugs, and trespassing. He is scheduled for arraignment at South Boston District Court.
