Arrest Made in Series of Armed Robberies in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department have apprehended a man in connection with a string of armed robberies in the Northwest area of the city. The suspect, identified as 57-year-old Michael Lomax of Southeast D.C., was involved in several incidents where he allegedly brandished a handgun and robbed various victims.

The armed robberies occurred at different locations and times, starting with an incident on November 9th, around 5:15 a.m. in the 1600 block of Columbia Road. Subsequent robberies were reported on November 12th in both the Unit block of Dupont Circle and the 1900 block of Wyoming Avenue and on December 1st in the 3600 block of Georgia Avenue.

Lomax was finally arrested on December 2nd and is now facing charges for these offenses.
