ANNAPOLIS, MD – A stabbing incident occurred on December 5, 2023, at approximately 11:38 PM near the Royal Farms store in the 400 block of 6th Street.

The victim, who sustained multiple stab wounds, reported being attacked by a short, Hispanic male suspect, believed to be around 20 years old, wearing a black winter coat. The assault took place after the victim left Royal Farms and walked along Chesapeake Avenue. Fleeing the scene, the victim returned to the store seeking help.

A store clerk, who interacted with someone fitting the suspect’s description prior to the incident, assisted the victim before the police arrived. The victim was later transported to Adams Cowley Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he underwent surgery for a punctured intestine and remains in serious but stable condition.

Another store employee found a pay stub near the crime scene. Detectives used this clue to obtain a photo of the person named on the stub, which the first witness identified as resembling the suspect.

Police did not reveal the name of the suspect.

The Annapolis Police Department is actively investigating this case and urges anyone with information to contact detectives at (410) 260-3439.
